Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of people and issues do you work with?

I work with individuals and couples of all ages—teens through seniors—helping people manage the emotional and relational challenges that come with life transitions, loss, or stressful professional environments. I specialize in professional burnout, leadership fatigue, and grief or trauma, providing a depth-oriented, psychoanalytic space to restore self-cohesion, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

What’s your approach to therapy?

My foundation is psychoanalytic and psychodynamic, which means we explore the deeper emotional and cognitive patterns that shape your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships—not just surface symptoms.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 45 minutes long. 50 minutes for couples.

How long does therapy last?

Every client is different. Some people work with me for a few months to manage a specific issue; others continue longer-term for deeper self-exploration and growth. We’ll work at a pace that fits your needs.

Do you offer remote sessions?

Yes. I provide both in-person sessions (in Manhattan on 13th street) and secure video sessions for those who prefer to meet remotely.

Is therapy confidential?

Absolutely. Everything shared in sessions is kept strictly confidential, in accordance with professional ethics and legal standards. Protecting your privacy is central to the therapeutic process.

Do you take insurance?

I don't take insurance directly, but I provide detailed monthly superbills and can help you manage out-of-network reimbursement, which often covers 60-80 percent of my fee. I recommend checking with your insurer to understand your out-of-network coverage. For guidance, see my insurance information page.

What is your fee?

I offer a tiered fee structure: $175 for Telehealth (Zoom) and $225 for In-Person sessions held in my Manhattan office. I also provide a limited number of sliding scale spots for those with financial need; please reach out to discuss a rate that works for your circumstances.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Zelle (a payment app offered by most major banks) is my preferred payment method.
